Notably, he possesses top-tier skills in Technical Training, Course Development, and Instruction, further enhancing his versatility. He has concentrated his efforts on developing and delivering top-tier cybersecurity education for several boot camps, many large universities, and Fortune 50 companies. He offers a unique blend of expertise encompassing various perspectives within the cybersecurity industry.

Dr. Adan Duby , PhD • CISSP • GCFA • GCIH
Cyber security scientist. Research and operational experience in malware data science, malware analysis, cyber threat intelligence, Windows forensics, and reverse engineering. Adam brings years of cyber curriculum development to RapidAscent’s programs including advanced upskilling curriculum development.
Formerly assistant professor US Military Academy West Point where he was Course director for Cyber Security Engineering and Digital Forensics and Deputy director of Cyber Science Program; formerly adjunct instructor SecureSet, currently adjunct professor Norwich University. UC Colorado Springs, Ph.D in Computer Security and MS Computer Science Nova Southeastern University.
Dr. Barnes applies 20+ years of relevant professional practice and current cyber technology knowledge into RapidAscent programs. Most recently, he led the Cybersecurity Lecture team at Flatiron School, a cybersecurity boot camp that provides an intensive 15-week program leading to the SEC+ certification and entry level roles in cybersecurity for its graduates. Program coverage included networking, systems, SIEM/Splunk systems, python, cryptography, governance, regulation & compliance, threat analysis, and pen testing.
He has been a department chair and degree program coordinator for two university degrees in information technology, taught for the University of Denver in cyber security, and the University of Colorado at Boulder in telecommunications. His Ph. D in Information Systems is from Oklahoma State University, and he earned his MS in Telecommunications from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
Michael has deep experience in cyber risk and education, including over 18 years’ experience in Corporate IT Security and Services with Fortune-100 aerospace and Big 4 consulting firms. Focus areas in information security management, Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) solutions, and training/education development.
Jeff is a Cybersecurity Instructor at RapidAscent, bringing best practices in automation and secure system development on commercial ERP systems. He has built end-to-end applications as a software engineer at Galvanize. He brings his experience and training in team exercises at the Hack Reactor Full Stack Development academy and carries a BS in computer science Washington University.
